Default Club Ride, Saturday March 6, 2010

Everyone is invited to enjoy a ride on what is projected to be the warmest day so far this year.

We will meet at the Jack's Restaurant at Jemison. This is exit #219 on I-65. The ride will leave at 8:00 AM. Come early for breakfast and riders meeting.

The ride will be all Alabama Back Roads. Lunch will be at Grumbles in Selma and dessert at Twix & Tween in Centreville. There will also we a gas stop in Selma. The ride will end at Vizzini Farms Winery at the Shelby Airport exit of I-65.

I look forward to seeing you all Saturday morning.

Here is a gps file of the ride. Clanton_Grumbles_Old_Cahawba_Winery.gdb

Hey Guys, made it back to NW Al about 6:30 PM after Pit Stop in Norhtport and some local riders there so they followed me back ....sorta...

Enjoyed the ride and fellowship....
Interesting day for sure and another story to tell.

Bob, since I kinda got into the motorcade coming into Selma leading the way for all the police of Selma and region...I should get at least an extra ABEES point..

Just found out the the Hall up the street was a museum and here what was going on..

Madikizela-Mandela will also be inducted into the Hall of Resistance at the Slavery and Civil War Museum on Saturday, March 6th at 1410 Water Avenue in Selma at 10:30 a.m.

Jim,
My camera battery died and am waiting for new one to arrive. Bob just plain forgot his. I don't know if Norwood owns a camera. Rhea Converse took a few pictures. Maybe he will post them.
We did not see him but Nowood got in the parade in Selma that included the widow Mindela and others. Grumbles was closed. I guess they wanted to get out of town with all the people and street vendors and street closings.
We tried to eat at Bama BBQ but they have gone out of business.

Default Fun Ride

If you have a moment please post the route onto my online map. I am collecting routes so one day I can ride them all if I ever get enough money to do it. Please post at allstate insurance Routes or allstate insurance maps. I am an advocate for allstate and thus I am using their web pages. Thanks everyone.
